Great deal on shipping, great pricing. Disappointed in rating quality: to me, underlining in pencil and side notes downgrades a book

Good quality of books for low prices, with wide variety of subjects available. One of the few online companies without high shipping fees! A great place to find what you need, or what you don't need; a present for a friend or for yourself.

Wide selection of books, with low pricing and shipping costs. I used the "sell books" feature for the first time, to buy some new reads. Even better: not just bestsellers, but books that are hard to find, at a reasonable cost, with honesty about their condition.

Better than last time, when the books in French I ordered turned out to be translations in English, but this time I receives an Advanced Reading Copy without warning. I wouldn't care, except I'm reading and discussing with a book group, which includes reading aloud. That's when the differences count.

I thought I was buying Maigret books in French, but half of them were in English. Thrift Books classified them under "Foreign Languages" titles, not translations.

The emails about the time of receipt of my order turned out to be incorrect; I received my books much later. They were in the condition described on the website, however, and I'm very happy with my purchase.

One book in great condition, the other book in worse condition than I expected. Shipping time slow, but free with lower purchase price required than most other places.

I was surprised I was able to get this relatively recent, beautifully illustrated book in good condition at a great price. "The Moose of Ewenki" is not, I think, a popular book, and I feel very grateful to have a copy, even though I don't have children and am not a teacher or librarian. I bought it as a gift for myself, while I'm having a lot of health problems and under a great deal of stress. I don't spend money on any "extras," but made an exception for this, since it lifts my spirits, and is good for my mental health.

The book recommendations are completely out of line with some of the texts on my "wish list." I keep thinking, Where did THAT come from? But I like the alerts that tell me when something on my list becomes available, and the choices of used books offered, along with detailed info on quality and pricing.
