The customer service member I spoke with (Tharon) was friendly, up beat, knowledgeable and able to answer my question quickly.
A respectable company, but something strange occurred.
This review is based on my recent experience with over eight years of continuous service as a loyal customer with American Collectors Insurance.
Unfortunately at this time, I had to transfer my classic car insurance to another company; and, I am no longer a customer with American Collectors Insurance Company.
The following events will explain my decision to transfer to another insurance company:
Beginning in August 2025 after receiving a written request from American Collectors, I made numerous unsuccessful attempts
to provide requested information, and documentation needed for the renewal of insurance coverage with American Collectors for November 2025.
This time consuming renewal process (phone calls & emails) continued through November 2025 without a successful resolution. As result, I partnered with another insurance company and insured my classic car effective November 2025.
It should be noted that several phone representatives from American Collectors were very professional, courteous, and helpful during this entire process.
Also, a key area of concern needing review and attention concerns the underwriting audit/renewal process. Overall, the communication and renewal steps were not very accommodating and transitional from a loyal customer’s point of view. It is recommended that this process be reevaluated and adjusted if needed.
Again, this review was written to provide an avenue for positive constructive criticism and evaluation in the area of concern, and in hopes that corrective steps can be taken in the betterment of the company and customers.

Every person I speak with is pleasant and personable but the conversations do not seem to get recorded so that if person x tells me one thing person y has no knowledge of it. Their adobe application for forms does not work on my computer. The last person I spoke with said we will use us mail to send you forms and when I mentioned the deadline of 20 days I was told not to worry about it. The next day I get , another, email , from a different person telling me my 20 day deadline to sign forms is fast approaching. All in all they seem very disjointed. I think I would look at the competition when it comes time to renew.
