Very disappointed

1 star because as long as I was a customer there was no issue. When it was time to renew I received a call. The info given to me was deceptive. I was told I couldn't see it in writing first. Then I was told while recording I had to say yes or no and not ask any questions. But I was told don't worry if you are not happy when you get the paperwork you have 72 hours to cancel. And lucky you it's a holiday so you actually have a week. Within 10 minutes I received the paperwork and it was not what I was told. I called back to cancel and was told I could not cancel. I tried again by chat. I tried sending emails and today they responded saying I was moving and disconnecting my service and a disconnect date. That's not what my email said. It simply said I am not renewing I went with another company. I tried to follow up with a call and have been on hold in excess of 30 minutes and the phone disconnects. Called again and someone answered anfter 12 minutes and said this is Carlos and never said another word and just disconnected. I have sent another email and don't expect to get any resolution based on previous responses. This is the most dishonest company I have ever had dealings with. Stay far away.

Rhythm Energy provides reliable…

Rhythm Energy provides reliable electricity plans with a strong focus on renewable energy options, which is a big plus for environmentally conscious customers. The sign up process is easy, rates are competitive and customer service is generally responsive. While there is still room for improvement in billing clarity and plan flexibility, overall it's a solid and trustworthy energy provider.

Terrible Business Practice

On September 25th someone used my identity to start two separate fraudulent accounts with this company. I received texts from them and on September 26th called and reported the fraud to them. They told me it was being taken care of.

Fast forward to today, November 6th, and I receive a call from them that they didn't close out the fraud account quickly and the scammers ran up a bill I'm now on the hook for unless I get a police report. So now I have to do extra work because they didn't do their jobs in the first place.

Worse still, I pay a small fortune for credit and identity theft monitoring and their sign up process never triggered it as the scammers didn't been need to have my SSN to setup a fraudulent account with this company. Just terrible all around.

Off to a bad start

The experience began poorly. The team claimed they couldn't locate our power meter, despite it being completely unobstructed and clearly visible. It seems likely they simply didn't make the effort to come out and read the meter. This is an extremely disappointing way to begin a relationship with a new customer, and they have not earned our trust or confidence in any way. I'll change this rating if I see a change in behavior.
