Lock in your rate while you can!
So it’s been about a year since I switched to Inspire. No issues with switching over, and haven’t had to interact with customer service so I can’t speak to issues others have mentioned. At first I was very excited to have my electricity generated from renewable sources, until…their renewal contract came in the mail. I did receive another offer for a better price online, but this left me with a choice between a 30% or a 70% increase in price. Energy futures may be a thing, but I can’t help feeling like this was a deliberate bait and switch. I also looked over their sources of electricity in their renewal contract, and the only truly identifiable “renewable” source was 1% solar! One. Percent. The only other possibility that may be renewable is a the vaguely worded “imported energy” which could be (at best) Canadian hydropower, but I can’t find a way to figure out what exactly “imported power” is and where it comes from. Something just doesn’t pass the sniff test, and my gut says this is a classic case of “if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.”

Best price for a six month program
Best price on the drawback it’s only good for six months. Easy to switch. Just gotta remember. Keep checking prices. There’s no penalties there’s no early cancellation fees on this program worthwhile.
Insider knowledge
I used to work another energy supply and they were also 100% renewable with a higher rate and only 12 month price protection. I made the switch to inspire shortly after leaving other company and was definitely a good choice.
