The technician was the best part of this experience—professional, patient, and competent. But the repair process was frustrating: parts were back ordered and the final repair cost ended up higher than the original purchase making a replacement would’ve been the smarter outcome. Sears should do a better job setting expectations, confirming parts availability before scheduling, and offering replacement/refund when a repair becomes uneconomical. I’m grateful for the technician, but I wouldn’t repeat the process.

Thumbtack has shady business practices but I tolerated it because we did find some jobs through the app.  But as of last week, they’ve changed their prices and I can’t afford this shady app. What use to cost $40-$60 now cost $200-300. So I use to get 10-15 leads a week, now I get 4 or 5. And 40% of the time the lead isn’t an actual lead. So that means I’m only actually approaching 2-3 new clients per week but I spend $1200 a week.  This company now is less of a benefit and more of a criminal organization.
