The agent Jennifer helped us. She was patient and thorough in answering all our question and in helping us compare policies so that we could make an informed decision.

We've used TripInsure101 to find and purchase insurance for 6 trips outside of the US since our retirement in 2023. The website is easy to use and the policies we selected were much less expensive than policies sold by cruise lines or group tours. As for service, we had claims on two trips. Four days before a European river cruise departure, my husband tore the meniscus in his knee requiring us to cancel the whole vacation. The three requested documents were uploaded and the claims person was empathic and helpful; we received a full refund within 3 weeks. On a humanitarian trip to Africa requiring specialty medical/extraction insurance, the airline changed airports and boarding times just 5 days before departure and the 1st leg of our trip from Indy could not be changed. The insurance company (IMG) paid for our Uber (EWR to JFK), a NYC hotel, meals, and a destroyed piece of luggage with the receipts we provided. We received a check in under 6 weeks. We have not had to use the medical insurance portion on any trip. Normally, I am skittish about buying services online but have had only good experiences with TripInsure company/policy recommendations.

I spoke at length to Caroline, who was very helpful in explaining coverages, adding to insurance as we get our flights, and comparing plans for a tour in Japan. This is really the first time I've called a travel insurance broker, and I came away not only with insurance, but much more educated about travel insurance.

I love trip insure 101. They offer many options. But best of all they know the policies. What sets them apart though is what they do for you if you have a problem. I did a few years ago and they helped me considerably and assisted in filing the claims and following through. For any major trip, I always insure through them.
