Terrible company. Living out of country and there is no good way to communicate with them. When I finally am able to speak with someone nobody is ever able to help with my problem. I am out of the country and dealing with fraud. They are unable to send my card to my international address. They are unable to update my phone number to my international number. I am now locked out of my online account and need my card in order to log in. Since they can not send it to me, I had them send it to my parents in USA and they would send it to me. This process takes about a month and I will not receive my card in time which means I can not log into my online app to pay my bill. My credit will be ruined and I will have this bill go to collections because they don't give me an option to pay the debt. On top of all of this, it is not even my debt. I was hacked and $750 in uber charges were racked up in USA which I am not in. I am not able to speak with anyone in the fraud department to discuss the charges. I can't even count the ways they have screwed me and provided no service.
BofA closed credit card account that…
BofA closed credit card account that was in good standing of disabled 60 year old gay man, citing I used my credit more than they liked. What is credit for if can't use in emergency situations.
Bank of America is a terrible & biased…
Bank of America is a terrible & biased bank institution that dont offer it's clients anything good other than taking their money and using it for their own benefit. I've been with them for 3 years have perfect 800 credit score & can't even get a credit card from them but I have well over 40 credit cards from other institutions. I dont recommend them or wellsfargo your better off banking with your local credit untion.
The staff seems to be unwilling to help…
The staff seems to be unwilling to help customers. She walked back and forth not doing anything but said she’s busy. I wonder if the bank staff is not paid well enough to want to work.
Bank of America has completely failed…
Bank of America has completely failed to follow Regulation E, and my experience has been nothing but stress and frustration. I reported unauthorized transactions, and instead of investigating properly like the law requires, they denied my claim and tried to say I “authorized” charges that I absolutely did not.
Under Regulation E, banks must conduct a fair investigation, provide proof, and credit the consumer while they investigate. Bank of America did none of this. They didn’t provide evidence, didn’t explain their decision, and ignored key facts I gave them.
This has caused me financial harm and emotional stress for months. No one should have to fight this hard just to be treated fairly under federal law. If you’re dealing with fraud, be prepared — Bank of America has shown me they do not follow the rules meant to protect consumers.
I’m sharing this so other people know what can happen. I hope they fix their practices and start respecting Regulation E before more customers get hurt.
Small business department
To whom it may concern,
I recently attempted to apply for a Cash Secured Business Line of Credit, and I feel it’s important to share the extremely disappointing experience I had with the loan department. The only person who consistently provided clear and helpful guidance was Michele Belanger. She followed up, ensured I had the correct information, and made a genuine effort to assist me.
Unfortunately, every other interaction I had within the same department was the opposite. I repeatedly provided the same reference number, yet each time I called I received completely different information regarding my application. At one point I was told Bank of America does offer a secured line of credit, and my application was moving forward. When I called again, a representative said my business needed to be two years old. When I challenged that, he changed his answer and claimed the requirement was five years. My business was eight months old at the time, which should have met the six-month requirement.
In another instance, Michele connected me directly with a representative who claimed she had not received my documents, yet my email was showing they had already been archived by that same individual. One person told me I needed a profit and loss statement; another said I did not. After two weeks of calling and receiving contradictory information, I requested to speak to a manager. That never happened.
At that point, I felt I had no choice but to close my account. The misinformation and lack of coordination within the department cost me valuable time and ultimately caused me to lose a business contract.
I am sharing this in hopes that these issues can be addressed so no other small business owner goes through the same experience.
Bank of America Credit Card folks…
Bank of America Credit Card folks badger me into using my card. Used it for three transactions. Never got a statement.
Next thing I know they have marked me as delinquent resulting in a 76 point ding on my credit score.
Not a happy camper.
I called their customer service number and spent 30 minutes wading through their &&@ing AI instantiation trying to get to a human.
Finally got offered a callback and was pleasantly surprised when I got it. The representative was understanding and polite. Seems to have resolved my issue.
The question for BofA management is do they subject themselves to their own AI telephone support before they foist it on their customers?
First of all answer your phones, 2nd open up payment mail
First of all answer your phones. I am still on hold going to 1/2 so far. I am trying to dispute a late charge when I mailed my payment 2 weeks in advance. 2nd. Open your mail payments, and credit the appropriate account. HORRIBLE customer service, nightmare credit card company. big mistake. and i do not recommend them . just don't do it.
GOT SCAMMED TWICE
Didn't give me my $1400 back after I got SCAMMED...
I gave them 300 pages of dialog with pictures, police reports etc...Cash Apps report.
ALL items they REQUESTED but yet DENIED them???
They still FAILED me...
Now I feel SCAMMED TWICE
Three different agents three different…
Three different agents three different responses. To the boys in Texas in risk management you all are scamming hard working customers. Literally could hear them reading what they had to say and gave attitude acting like they had all this power to take people’s money and provide no explanations as to why. They don’t offer help. They tell you what they can do but they won’t actually do it. Bank of America is not for the average customer and will screw you over because they think they can.
Credit card due date scam by BOA
This company is running a due date scam on the credit cards. The credit card give you a due date but the company takes a protracted time To deduct the money from your account. Thus the consumer or credit card holder will then owe a late fee.scam
customer service? what a joke
the BofA website arbitrarily purges my recipients for transferring money and I'm required to re-enter them - credit card customer service is impossible to get in touch with and only looks to put you on hold until you give up and hang up so they don't have to do any work
Bank of America Branch Located in Arapahoe Crossings in Parker CO
We went to a local Office in Parker CO to make a deposit into a savings account ($15,000). We were told that over 50% would be held and made available on Dec 9th and that the other half would be deposited into our savings account and would be available that day. We also explained the necessity for the funds ( the less than half the amount that was to be posted in the savings account) to be available the next day since we were needing it to be wired out. We went through the entire process with the Branch Manager while the deposit was being made. The deposit receipt was provided to us and we AGAIN reviewed the availability of funds for the amount that was to be deposited immediately into the savings account as documented on the deposit slip. The Branch Manager agreed that the funds would be ready to be wired. Upon checking the account balance the next morning, none of the deposit (either the larger than half that was to be available on Dec 9th nor the immediate amount that was to be deposited) was in the account. After contacting the Bank and asking to talk to the Branch Manager I was giving to the Associate that actually made the deposit. I was told that the Manager would look into it. It took over 1.5 hours to have someone call me back. Again I was not in contact with the Manager but the Associate. I was told the back office at BOA put the entire Certified Fund Bank check from a National bank would ALL be held now until Dec 10th. I basically told there is nothing I could do about it. This delay in an agreed to transaction and the timing of it is estimated to cost me upwards of $2000. Do not work with BOA you will be disappointed.
The absolute worst bank you could ever…
The absolute worst bank you could ever bank with!. I just had a new credit card opened. Gave them all the appropriate information to open the card last month. I get a letter last week call us we see a security breach on your account. Not by me!. I call in it took 20 minutes of hold time to get someone on the phone. They had to text me two times security codes. My birthday my blood type everything else that tells me they have a huge security breach at their bank!. I closed the credit card immediately. I will never ever ever go back to Bank of America again!. SMH
Worst bank to deal with
Worst bank to deal with. Worst bank to have business account. The putting hold every time you deposit checks for 5-7 days you cannot operate your business because they put hold on your account on the big amount of checks using the checks for themselves meanwhile putting your business in jeopardy. A different bank you can call talk to the customer service and usually they do release hold faster but Bank of America forget it they using your money while they’re putting hold on your checks and putting your business into the problem.
Bank America Balance transfer
I did a balance transfer offer with bank of america. It was left as online incomplete and then a letter came to call over the phone to finish up. At the end of the call, I told the rep very clearly, to not do a transfer for the lesser amount. To leave funds as available. Several weeks later to find out he did it anyway. After my transfering back the full transfer fund to the another bank. After exhaustive efforts and even a regulatory compliant, they refuse to remove the fee. They also claim to have listened to some of the phone calls, not the entire list from the t mobile phone records to them and they untruthfully told the occ in writing that they had checked all call ins. Which I was told by their rep that they didn't do as complete. They say they can't find all the calls. Questionable ethics to say the least and theft from a customer.
Absolutely the worst
Absolutely the worst. I had a fraudulent transaction on my Paypal account, which is linked to my Bank of America card. I called to notify them of the transaction, so they closed my account, which is fine, but then suggested I open a totally new account. So I was transferred to someone who told me my account was out of date and I should open a new one. Whatever. So they had to walk me through all of this, play me two recordings of terms and sent me numerous forms to agree to. While this was happening I got a notification from Paypal that the charge for $1,070 was approved. WTF. I told the BOA person I needed to get off the phone to call Paypal back and she said she was working as quickly as she could--this was already 45 minutes in. She told me she was almost done...20 minutes more go by, still not done. FINALLY finished, but then she told me I had to call some other number to link my checking account to my debit card. Back on hold. Another 20 minutes go by with no option to ask for a call back when someone if free. Absolutely unbelievable and ridiculous. BOA could not have found a worse time to try to have a customer open a new account, and then keep me on the phone so I can actually access my own money. I'm going to go there in person and withdraw the money and open an account somewhere else.
Bank of America Failed My Small Business
I opened a Bank of America small business account about a month ago and immediately ran into major issues trying to set up online banking. No matter what I tried, the system would not allow me to access my own account.
I contacted customer service multiple times and received zero effective assistance. Each call ended with a different explanation, long holds, or vague instructions that led nowhere. Eventually, I was told—despite all my information being correct—that I would need to physically visit a branch five hours away due to a “fraud concern.” For a business owner managing my time, responsibilities, and resources, this was simply unreasonable.
What disappointed me most was the lack of efficiency, clarity, and support. For an entire month, I had an account I couldn’t even open online, use, or manage. I finally closed it because it became clear that the services offered were not set up to support small businesses in any meaningful way.
I understand that Bank of America does not need my business—but as a minority, woman owned business, I left feeling like I didn’t matter at all. My information was correct, I followed every step, and still received no solution. This experience left me frustrated and questioning whether small business owners like myself are valued here.
At this point, I’ll be moving forward with a different bank that is better equipped to support small business needs.
