Images on the website misrepresentation
The product images on the website were misleading. The comforter I received looked nothing like the bright, vibrant colors shown online, it was flat and dull. When I contacted customer service, I was told that they cannot guarantee the product will match the images, and that I would be responsible for return shipping costs. I keep trying to like Bed Bath and Beyond because on the surface it looks like a convenient all in one store, but the more I shop there, the more I notice how disconnected everything feels. Some items look great but feel cheap the moment you touch them. Others are priced like premium products but barely pass the quality check. Staff tries to help, but half the time they are confused by their own system. It feels like a company that used to care and now just relies on nostalgia and big shelves to distract from how uneven the experience is. Not horrible, but definitely not what it pretends to be.
Not worth your time or money
I spent $76 on a pair of king size pillows that are horrible and nothing as they were described and in order to return them, I have to send them 20 more dollars just to print out a shipping label. Will never be buying here. It’s a complete scam of a website and business.

Customer service is terrible
I am extremely disappointed with the level of customer service I have received. Every interaction has been frustrating and unhelpful. I waited over 40 minutes on hold just to speak with someone, and then spent another 45 minutes on the phone with a representative who offered no real solutions. The agents act completely dumbfounded, sit in silence, and do not provide any meaningful assistance.
My issue is simple: the product I received does not match the picture advertised. The plant in your photos appears high-end, realistic, and well-made. In person, the underside of every leaf is brown — something not shown at all in the picture. Had that been represented accurately, I never would have purchased it. For an item priced at $80, the quality is cheap, misleading, and not reflective of the image you use to sell it.
I even explained that I am willing to keep the plant, but I should not have to pay premium price for something that does not look like the product I believed I was purchasing. I asked for a reasonable discount, and instead I was told a supervisor might call me within 48–72 hours. Based on my experience so far, I highly doubt anyone will call.
Your company also claims to offer “hassle-free returns,” yet you continue to push back, drag out the process, and attempt to charge a $20 return fee. That is far from hassle-free.
Because of the lack of solutions, misleading advertising, and extremely poor customer service, I have reported the issue to Klarna, filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and initiated a dispute. My suggestion is simple: ensure that your product photos accurately represent what customers are actually receiving. Transparency would prevent situations like this.
This experience has been unacceptable.
They also told me if I was going to get a discount that klarna would need to do that. Why are they responsible for a item that I didnt purchase from them . They are just the 3rd party payee.

1 star is to high a rating for this business. My order came in 2 shipments. The first half was delivered. The 2nd half was delivered to the wrong address. "Quinn" was the name used by the agent. She lied to me and I don't appreciate that. She claims nothing can be done for at least 2 days. She said UPS drivers scan the entire load at one time not when the delivery is actually made and they can take up to 2 days to complete all of their deliveries. This is a flat out LIE! The delivery location on my email confirmation said "delivered to side door". There is no side door. It's an apartment with only a front door.
I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM BED BATH AND BEYOND again. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE JUST LIES.

Wrong Item Sent and a Hassle to Return…
I ordered a $75 4 inch queen mattress topper. They sent me a 3 inch twin mattress topper. I immediately went to their site to let them know about their error. Now, they expect me to print a label and ship the item back. I told the rep. that I have an injury and have trouble walking, and of course no concern was shown. On top of that, I was informed it may take up to four weeks to receive my refund. Trash company.

The worst online shopping experience I’ve ever had – completely unacceptable
If you value your money, your time, or even basic customer respect, avoid Bed Bath & Beyond at all costs.
I ordered a dining table that looked completely different from what was shown on their website. Instead of taking responsibility for misleading product representation, the company immediately labeled it as “buyer’s remorse” just to charge me for the return.
The situation became absurd:
the return label went from $37 to over $70 simply because the box was too large for my car and I needed UPS pickup.
Charging customers extra because your product doesn’t match your listing is unacceptable and shameful.
The customer service was a complete disaster — scripted responses, no accountability, no real solutions, and absolutely zero interest in customer satisfaction. Even supervisors refused to acknowledge the issue and repeated the same rehearsed lines.
This company operates with policies that feel designed to make returns as difficult and expensive as possible, regardless of whether the problem is THEIR fault.
It’s not customer service — it’s a wall meant to wear you down.
I was originally planning to furnish my entire home with their products.
After this experience, I will never purchase here again, and I’ll advise everyone I know to stay away.

Bad Return policy
Bad Return policy. In order to receive one of their shipping labels, the cost is almost half of the product. They want you to sign up for $25 in order to get free returns. I was on hold for 48 minutes in order to get to customer support, to discuss this with them. This was useless as they stood firm on their policy and I could barely understand what they were saying. I will not be shopping BB&B ever again.

i received a faulty parts kit for my umbrella. After 30 minutes they agreed upon to send a replacement kit, second kit was missing more than the first. Opened another request for a kit and i am now on hold for 55 minutes. Never got kit. I now have an umbrella I cannot use?
offered discount then denied it
I was searching for a metal bed . I found the one I like on your Web site. It was listed on sale for 691.30 item 18545429. I was then offered a 20% discount if I provided my email address and agreed to receive promotional emails. I did this and then down loaded app. I selected apply discount. It then said discount does not apply to already discounted items. When I was offered the discount it did not list any restrictions. All it said was provide email address and receive 20% discount on your order. It was offered while I was looking at the above item. I provided my email address but the was told it does not apply. Why would your company offer the discount and after I provide required info as requested then tell me it does not apply when i try to use it? I feel like I was mis led and taken advantage of. Please try to explain to me what you think. If you were me and this happened to would you also be upset.
Outrageous return policy
To return a rug, they wanted to charge me $51 dollars, which is more than 50% of the rug's price. Put on hold for a hour. I was told by their clearly overseas rep that the best they would do is charge me 35% of the rug to return it. He acted like he wanted a reward for this "discount." So I get to pay $60 for the honor of not having a rug.
Bed,bath,beyond/walmart
I ordered a bench through Walmart. Bed Bath and Beyond sells there merchandise on there site. The item was shipped to the incorrect address. They claimed they sent it to the address provided. I explained that I don't live there and they refuse to help in any way, shape or, form. I am now out $90 dollars.
They keep telling me that they sent it to the address provided. Yes, fine. BUT I DONT LIVE THERE ANYMORE, and haven't for quite some time. My address has been updated. Perhaps it was my error? Maybe. But now the item is sitting at a place that's unoccupied and I can't retrieve it. They offered zero solutions. Just kept blaming me.
I let them know I didn't get the item cause I don't live there. They could care less.

I tried calling customer service for help, but the wait time was more than two hours before I could speak with a representative. When I finally reached someone, I was told that if I paid $24.95 for a rewards membership, I could return the item for free. Feeling stuck, I signed up—only for the app to show that the “free return” option was delayed due to my membership status.
I had to call customer service AGAIN, only to be told they refused to refund the membership fee and would only issue store credit “per the fine print,” with zero willingness to work with me despite the situation.
Overall, this entire experience has felt misleading and incredibly frustrating. The customer service at every step has been unacceptable, and the return process is set up in a way that feels deeply unfair to customers. I will not be shopping here again

I was going to order a recliner and after looking at the return policy I decided to call and make sure that there "FREE" return policy was really FREE. Guess what it is not. This is very deceiving on their part. No wonder they are no longer in business.

I ordered the Office Desk 55.1” Executive Desk from Beyond and unfortunately received it in damaged condition. I reached out within the first week of receiving the item, but due to a missing email I had trouble locating, I had to resend some of the documentation later.
While customer service has been courteous, my request for a refund or replacement was denied based strictly on the 30-day return policy, without consideration for the fact that the product arrived defective.
I still believe this can be resolved fairly and hope Beyond’s leadership team will review the case. I prefer to work directly with the company rather than escalate through other channels, and I will update this review based on the outcome.
