Review summary

Based on reviews, created with AI

Most reviewers were somewhat happy with their experience overall. Consumers show mixed feelings about the brand's products and quality. Some people find the products effective for moisturizing and cleansing, particularly for sensitive skin. These consumers highlight the products' non-irritating and fragrance-free qualities. However, others report negative experiences, such as breakouts, dryness, and allergic reactions. There is a strong consensus among reviewers regarding issues with product packaging, specifically with pumps that stop working. Some consumers also express concerns about the brand's practices, such as the lack of seals on new products. A few reviewers mention customer service being unhelpful.

I have very sensitive skin and was advised by a dermatologist to try Cerave moisturiser to combat my facial dryness.
Complete and utter disaster! Within 2 hours of putting on a sparingly amount on my face my skin broke out into an enormous flare up of stinging, itching and redness.
Cannot see how they are able to put this product on the market when it can cause so much harm to an individual’s health. This product is not fit for purpose as I seem not to be the only one that as had these issues. Please be absolutely sure you know that this product can have a serious detrimental effect and is not always successful.

Skin care good, sun protection bad

I love CeraVe's moisturizers and cleansers. I live in a desert climate, and these have saved my skin. However, their sunscreens are absolutely terrible. Thick, don't absorb well, leave white stains on clothes, and so on. Where they excel, they're great, but they need to stay in their lane.

Lacking seal 4 Moisturizing Cream

I just bought a tub of Cerave's Moisturizing Cream, and expected to find some kind of a seal when I unscrewed the lid. To my surprise the cream had no seal at all and looked as if its has been opened as the cream has an expiry of12 months after being opened. It's a big shame for such a branded company to not invest in its products safety, appearance and guarantee. Careva has disappointed me by lacking its seal and I feel that the cream has been opened and used. It hasnt given me the feeling of opening a brand new cream.
Cerave must look into this matter and must sort it out ...

CeraVe Intensive Moisturising Lotion - Pump

While the product is reasonable (have used more cost effective products with the same result), the pump stops working when there is a sizeable amount left in the bottle. In short of cutting the container, almost impossible to extract from the bottle. Will not be purchasing again.

CeraVe sponsors Abhorrent role models

CeraVe is a brand that supports murdering good Godly people by sponsoring the most disgraceful, Godless influencers. I used to purchase CeraVe as I believed it to provide a decent pure clean scientific product. It's association with Abhorrent Chattering influencers who promotes hatred for all that is good, pure and loving in this world whilst promoting murder of innocents and sexual depravity has lost me forever.

Facial Dermatitis….GONE!

I had a very nasty case of dermatitis that covered 75% of my face. My poor face was red, raw and ultra dry and scaly. Creams prescribed by my GP did nothing. I tried MooGoo and Dermaveen but nothing soothed my angry skin. Then I tried CeraVe Moisturising Cream and, I swear this is true, my unsightly and disfigured face was back to normal, smooth and hydrated, within only four days! Oh thank God! And thank you CeraVe! I am now switching to CeraVe products exclusively. Needless to say I am thrilled and I look forward to having happy and healthy skin.

You will fall in-love with soft skin

im 58 have lots of scars all over my face from skin cancer operations-prior to using CeraVe i had tried ever thing.
i was at my daughters house when i first tried it and straight away my skin felt so soft . The next day i kept touching my face because ive never felt it so soft.
I now use the cleanser and moisturiser daily.
my scars are fading as my skin regenerates and glows.

I don't get the hype

CeraVe is often recommended as the go to brand for dry - sensitive skin.

The only product I have liked is the oil based cleanser.

The eye cream which is deemed suitable for eczema prone skin actually made it worse. It is very thin and not moisturising at all.

The hydrating cream cleanser is ok if I use it now and again but it is stripping if I use it everyday and does have chemically smell. If you are based in the UK B&M have a cheaper alternative which is a much nicer formula.

I have tried various moisturisers. Not one of them improved my dry skin and when my skin was extra sensitive. It actually stung when I applied it. I had to reapply throughout the day.

There are far far better products out there.

I recommend Curel eye cream if you have dry sensitive skin. They do other products too but I haven't tried them.

K Beauty products are also very good and reasonable.

For something high end I recommend, Dr Jart, Biossance and Drunk Elephant - the Bora Barrier Repair is amazing for very dry skin. It is my winter go to.

Disgusting product

A truly terrible product that did not do anything it said it would do. The moisturiser literally made my skin dry. The consistency of it was gross and it smelt bad. I beg you to choose any other brand because they’re all better than this. Put sewer water on your face instead because I’m sure it would be a better product. Do NOT buy this.
