I would like to appreciate the RBC bank…
I would like to appreciate the RBC bank teller, her name is Tina, in the branch number 03342 in Yonge and Dawson was so professional in her career and so nice. She understands my questions and did her job pretty well. She was so friendly, patient, and kind.
She provided me with the best options, which were very good, and I am so happy that she assisted.
Sincerely,
Mehrnaz Mehrgou

Review – Customer Telephone Service
I would like to share my experience with the customer service I received over the phone today.
The agent, Bou Bacar, demonstrated a significant lack of professionalism.
Unfortunately, he was unable to communicate clearly in French, and his accent made the conversation very difficult to understand. In addition, he was not helpful and lacked clarity in his questions.
For example, he asked me for “the company number.” I spent nearly two minutes searching through official documents to retrieve what I believed was the business number for Revenu Québec — only for him to later clarify that what he actually needed was the company’s telephone number.
This type of confusion reflects a real problem in terms of communication and professionalism.
My suggestion:
RBC, it seems that the level of service at the first line of customer support has declined significantly. The standards and expectations for clarity, professionalism, and customer assistance should be much higher, especially for a major financial institution.
A disappointing experience.
RBC is all about the image
RBC is all about the image, and it is rotten from the inside. The most ignorant customer service of all banks. They shipped out the jobs to the Philippines, India,a paying them a peanut salary but charge high fees to the clients in Canada. Every time I call about one thing, I get 3 or 4 different stories about the same matter. Not to mention, RBC was involved in criminal fraud activities in the past. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS NIGHTMARE TO ANYONE.
Mortgage Renewal mishandled
The advisor mishandled our mortgage renewal and did not get back to us in time and we ended up paying the extra 4% on our mortgage and the bank does not want to give our money back.
You are not my Mother!!!
I left RBC for 2 reason when I had to pay $14 a month to babysit my money and when I took a trip in Canada they froze my accounts and when I called them they told me I was required to tell them I was head on a trip so it would not be raised as "Suspicious Activity" Never in my life how I had a bank so controlling as RBC. I am now a Credit Union Fan, No more fees no more Babysitting charges.
Horrible Customer Service
I wanted to start a business account with RBC, and I couldn't get in with the local branch until December 17. Today is Wednesday, November 26. I was told last week that I could do this over the phone. I made an appointment to receive a call from Benjamin from the business department on Monday, November 24, at 2 pm. He started working on setting up the business. The problem was that he didn't put the correct business name for my business. I called him today to tell him there is no phone number associated with my new business account, and he put me on a three-way call with another rep, who made me end the call and call back without Ben on the phone. I got another rep in the business department, and she said she would verify me. She asked me for the business name, and when I told her, she said it didn't match. Come to find out, Ben didn't put in the correct name for my business. He told me it will take another 48 hours to have the name changed. He asked for a copy of the Registry information to make sure of the name. He did not do this when I first contacted him to set up the account. If he had asked for a copy of the Registration for my business, I would have been able to have everything completed today, November 26. I don't recommend dealing with the Royal Bank. Based on my experience with Ben, this was totally unacceptable and would have been easily avoided. I give Ben zero stars for what he did for me. I see that the Royal Bank has an average of 1.3-star reviews for its business. I can honestly understand why. Ben gave me horrible customer service. He should be coached on how he failed me by not asking for a copy of the registration or clarifying what the business name was.

Worse customer service on phone and in Branch
It was the biggest mistake to open up an account with RBC , the service at the branch in Montreal , Newman and Dollard is the slowest I have ever experienced. For the fews the bank charges there is no adequate Teller service . You stand in line for hours at all times , and many times they can't even help. Stay away from that bank or at least that branch.
Garbage service
Garbage service, no help
Waist of time, also they’ve cut my card off before. Any bank is better. Don’t trust this company
brutal lack of service
phone attendants are rude and condensing . they are totally inefficient and incapable. an absolute waste of time, do yourself a favor and find another financial institution.
RBC if your reading this
RBC if your reading this, Im going to say possibly if not the crappiest bank on earth. I deal with many banks and many transaction local and international. RBC you guys are so terrible I manged to get about a few hundred customers to switch banks. All the crap you impose and treat clients, + all the foreign workers that are so sad at customer service. They don't care about your business, just you hard earned money. I hope this bank goes down by some nasty cybersecurity AI attack. Our country has terrible banking and need competition.
RBC travel award scam
RBC offers travel rewards points but is selling the same vacation packages for much more than other providers (it was about $1000), so your points are useless (you are loosing them by buying travel with RBC due to higher prices of their offers). Also RBC sold me all-inclusive vacation package but forgot to mentioned that this is not all-inclusive and I need to find/pay for transport from airport to hotel. While calling RBC I was met with attitude; "call the hotel and find out"
Horrible bank to contact

The most inconvenient bank
The most inconvenient bank, with the most inconvenient policies.
Worst bank
Worst bank. Pls beware the worst bank ever. Don’t open your account at RBC. They charge high NSF fees for any over draft. They don’t reimburse the fee. They are scammers. Beware!!
RBC Completely Failed Me as a Business Client
I’ve never had a more disappointing or frustrating banking experience than what I’ve had with RBC over the last week. I’ve been in the branch multiple times trying to resolve an incoming wire transfer that the SWIFT trace clearly shows was delivered to RBC, yet absolutely no one seems capable of locating it.
The branch-level staff have shown no care, no urgency, and no real understanding of how to handle an issue of this level. It’s painfully obvious they are not trained or experienced in international wire processes. Every conversation felt like I was dealing with people completely uneducated on the very systems they’re responsible for. Instead of taking ownership or escalating properly, I was repeatedly redirected, dismissed, and given conflicting or incorrect information.
Despite providing all the documentation RBC needed—including formal SWIFT tracking showing the money reached their institution—I received no action plan, no follow-up, and no communication from the actual wire investigation team. I was not included in any updates, nor was anyone willing to take responsibility.
As a business client, this is absolutely unacceptable. The lack of accountability, professionalism, and basic competence at this branch has completely shattered my trust in RBC. When thousands of dollars are unaccounted for, you expect your bank to support you—not shrug, pass you around, and hope you give up.
I would not recommend RBC to anyone who needs a bank capable of handling business-critical transactions. This experience has shown me that the branch staff are not equipped, not trained, and frankly not concerned enough to manage important financial issues.
Do not use RBC to wire money abroad
Do not use RBC to wire money abroad. If the wire does not complete successfully, you will still be charged intermediary fees, and they will tell you they cannot reverse them. Better use WISE.
Frustrating, 20 questions for a simple question
Trying to ask a simple question of a branch, first put on hold for an active agent, then 10 questions, now into 10 minutes and answer was not according to previous stated, found out later, I never was put through to the branch
